TauroPace™ is an antimicrobial solution designed to ensure that CIEDs (Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices) remain sterile prior to implantation.

Indication and Effect

TauroPace™ is certified for use during the placement of CIEDS or revision for device upgrade, downgrade or replacement purposes (i.e. in all types of surgical procedures). Devices within this scope include (but are not limited to):

  • Pacemakers (PM)

  • Implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD)

  • PM and ICDs providing cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT-P, CRT-D)

  • Cardiac Contractility Modulation (CCM) Devices

  • Subcutaneous ICD (S-ICD)

  • Leadless (cable-free) heart pacemakers

  • Implantable or injectable loop recorders/monitors (ILR/ILM)

  • All related equipment (generator, electrodes/leads, torque wrench, dilators, cases, wires, etc.)

TauroPace™ is designed to protect CIEDs:

  • Prevents the adhesion of bacteria and fungi to the CIED hardware.

  • It is antimicrobial against pathogens and no resistance patterns have been observed to date.
